Taught and instructed Outdoor Education in the Yukon, and abroad
Professional Guiding and Instructing
- Grew up in Atlin, BC (and my great grandfather landed in Atlin during the Yukon Gold Rush!)
- I have worked in every community in the Yukon, returning most often to Ross River
- I have taught in Dawson, City, Aurora Virtual School and PCSS and am very invested in alternative and land-based education
Taught and instructed Outdoor Education in the Yukon, and abroad
- Completed YNTEP (Yukon Native Teacher Education Program)
- Taught SASE 9 the last 3 years
- Worked at Wood Street Center assisting all the Outdoor Education Programs and SASE 9 for 10 years
- Worked for NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School) (20 – 45 day trips) in Idaho, Utah and India for 3 years
Professional Guiding and Instructing
- 15 + years of professional guiding
- Guided whitewater rafting on class 3, 4 and 5 rivers in the Yukon, BC, and New Zealand
- Guide multi-day expedition raft trips with Canadian River Expeditions in the Yukon and NWT (Tatshenshini, Alsek, Nahanni, Wind, Snake, Firth River)
- Instruct Level I and II canoe courses, and whitewater kayaking courses
- Over 60 river trips of 1 – 3 weeks
